US Shipping Updates
I’m happy to share that as of September 9, I am cautiously resuming shipping to the US. Thanks to my fantastic carrier who has been working tirelessly to find solutions, I’m able to continue shipping while keeping costs minimal.
You may notice a slight increase in shipping rates to cover new fees set by the carrier. However, since all Combinist pieces are handmade and fall under the CUSMA agreement, you will not be charged additional duties or tariffs on your order.
Please note that there may still be occasional delays at the US border as new systems are implemented.
Thank you so much for your patience and for all the support and kind messages I’ve received during this pause. I hope this transition will be smooth, and I look forward to sharing lots of new work with you very soon!
-Kristen
Last day to place orders is August 26th at 10am MST
Quick Points (Updated August 25):
- Combinist will halt shipping to the US as of August 26th at 10am MST
- Shipping will resume once tariff and duty percentages are firmly communicated by US border services to brokers and carriers
- Expect delays in delivery as the new systems are being put into place
- To reflect the tariffs and duties, Combinist will need to increase prices to US customers as these costs will need to be remitted at the border before making it to the customer - this will result in no further charges for the customer once the item has been ordered
- I will do my best to keep customers updated with information as I know it and be transparent about any price increases
Dear Combinist Community,
I wanted to share some important news regarding US orders. Beginning Friday, August 29, the CUSMA agreement de minimis exemption (which allowed packages under $800 USD to enter the US without additional duties or taxes) will be discontinued at the request of the US administration.
This change will have a significant impact on small and micro businesses like mine around the world. I’m fortunate to work with a shipping carrier who is exploring solutions, and those solutions will be in place this week. That being said, the reality is that duties and tariffs will apply to US bound orders and will be required to be paid before being shipped and result in my prices having to be increased. These costs have not firmly been communicated, which means I am unable to provide exact pricing at this moment. Once I have clear information, I will update you immediately on the Combinist website and through email.
Because of this uncertainty, I will be temporarily pausing shipments to the US after Tuesday, August 26 at 10am MST. Orders placed before that time will still be fulfilled, though they may experience delays at the border due to increased checks and processing.
US customers have been such an important part of Combinist’s growth, and your ongoing support means the world to me. This pause is temporary, and I hope to have the website available to US customers as early as next week. I am committed to finding the best possible path forward so that I can continue to share bold, wearable statement jewelry with you.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions—I’ll do my best to answer with the most up‑to‑date information I have.
With gratitude,
Kristen
